- novelist and short-story writer
- author of three books
Jan Folný was originally a teacher of Czech and Russian. After “burnout”, he moved to London, where he has lived and worked for several years. His debut work as a writer was Od sebe/k sobě / Push/Pull (LePress, 2010), which draws on his experiences during a three-year stay in Ireland. His collection of short stories Buzíčci / Little Queers (Host, 2013) was very well received by readers. His latest work is the novel Víkend v Londýně / A Weekend in London (Host, 2018).
