How’s life for children on our beautiful blue planet? 

What do children all over the world have in common? Living conditions may vary, but all children like to play and have fun. 

This book introduces children to life on Earth in its great diversity, while issuing a gentle reminder of difficulties this brings. Designed as a first read-alone book, it will arouse children’s curiosity and desire to learn, so inspiring them to ask questions about the world they live in, whose future they will help shape. 

Short, engaging, easy-to-understand stories from the everyday lives of twelve children from different countries (all continents represented) are supplemented by Mária Nerádová’s vivid illustrations. All stories are set at midday Central European Time. What’s the time in Canada just then, I wonder? Each story has a complement of interesting facts for the child to read about with their parents. 

For the international edition of this book, author Alena Mornštajnová is writing a brand-new story and preparing a page of complementary facts for each featured country. All these will be given new illustrations by Mária Nerádová.
