Who but Pavel Čech – an author whose imagination draws abundantly on his childhood; a man known to spend time in the forest with friends and bows and arrows, away from the pale-faced world – would create a book about a little boy who likes American Indians? This book for early readers reflects the author’s own desire for American Indian adventure and is dreamlike and honest, as a good children’s book should be.
