The prose debut by young author Emma Kausc (born 1998) has sparked a wave of unprecedented enthusiasm among critics, marking the emergence of an author with extraordinary talent for writing.
Currently, the novel is shortlisted for the Literary Critics Award, a new prize established by the eponymous association uniting leading Czech literary magazines: A2, Host, Souvislosti, revue Prostor, and Tvar. The results will be announced on March 12, 2025.
Plot Disruption by Emma Kausc is also the lead title in the recently published catalog of the Czech Literary Centre (New Czech Books 2024), showcasing the best domestic books from the past year.
